A View on Harvard GSD. Vol.3

A catalyst for new forms of imagination in response to our changing concerns and care for design and the environment.
 

"View" is a collection of projects by the students and faculty of Harvard University's Graduate School of Design that were undertaken during the current academic year. Organized alphabetically, the book juxtaposes contributions from a diversity of design fields—including architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning and design. The combination of design projects and scholarly research provides an impressive panorama of interests and investigations. Each submission is a form of speculation, in most instances supported by long periods of sustained study.

The random adjacencies and proximities of this publication will, I hope, help the reader to construct her/his own domains of cross-disciplinary activity, building on those already developed, whether implicitly or explicitly, within each of its pages. View, if used in this way, will become a catalyst for new forms of imagination in response to our changing concerns and care for design and the environment.
